Both Organic

Organic milk versus organic pasteurized milk (both are grass fed)?
I was just wondering which is better? I was going to buy milk, but when I went for the pasteurized since I was concerned about the harmful bacteria.
Consumption of milk has been empirically associated with undulant fever, dysentery, salmonellosis, and tuberculosis, which are diseases that were eliminated by pasteurization. While pasteurization reduces the content of some vitamins, like vitamin C, these nutrients are not present in milk in large quantities to begin with.

Organic Farming $135.36 Beginning as a small protest to the industrialization of agriculture in the 1920s, organic farming has become a significant force in agricultural policy, marketing, and research. No longer dismissed as unscientific and counterproductive, organic techniques are now taken seriously by farmers, consumers, scientists, food processors, marketers, and regulatory agencies in much of the world. Organic farming is both dynamic and forward-looking but is also rooted in tradition. It is these traditions that can provide valuable starting points in debates over how organic farming should meet new challenges such as globalization, the emergence of new production techniques, and growing concern over equity and social justice agriculture. Complementing general discussions with case histories of important organic institutions in various countries, this comprehensive discussion is that first to explore the development of agriculture. |

Organic Nanophotonics $155.24 From the reviews:pThis book contains the proceedings of the NATO Advanced Researched Workshop on Organic Photonics a ] . the copious reference lists that are attached to most of the papers are very helpful. The book is particularly recommended for people who may not be familiar with organic chemistry or biochemistry, such as physicists and photonic device engineers. It would not be an exaggeration to refer to the book as a science museum in itself, exhibiting what is happening today in organic nanophotonics. (Hiroshi Mataki, Optics & Photonics News, Vol. 16 (6), 2005)pPhotonics concerns the generation, transport, processing and detection of light. It underlies a large amount of industrial activity, mainly devoted to information technology, telecommunications, environmental monitoring, biomedical science and instrumentation.pThe field has received a powerful impetus recently with the introduction of nanoscale concepts. Moreover, organic materials now appear as key components in photonic devices such as light-emitting diodes, integrated lasers, or photovoltaic cells. Organic molecular systems offer unique opportunities in nanophotonics since both top-down and bottom-up strategies can be pursued towards the nanoscale.pThis book gathers the proceedings of the NATO advanced research workshop on Organic Nanophotonics, held in Aix-en-Provence, France, August 25-29, 2002. It constitutes a snapshot of the state of the art in the novel, emerging research area of nanophotonics based on organic molecules and materials. |
