Are colds and flu unusual in the spring?

Hello everyone, I have been fighting a cold and sore throat bad for the last 24 hours that I stayed home from work today.A many of my colleagues have recently been sick too. Is not this recent outbreak of flu and colds unusual for the spring? I live in Minneapolis. I usually think about winter weather, the most common time of year for the flu and colds. Do not get sick all winter, but I'm sick now.
