How deep does a vegetable patch need to be?
I'm thinking of making a raised bed garden using the newspaper sitting on the grass and using large besser blocks (about 30cm / 1 meter high) that the garden's edge, adding compost and soil in the middle. My children want me to grow sweetcorn and carrots, then 1 foot soil be deep NOK? If not, how deep should the soil be?
with carrots and things I would do 2 feet, there has been sufficient for my family but it is not deep NOK to pplant flowers or shrubs in it with herbs, but the vegetables should do fine and sweet peas, or annuals that it would work in shallow soil
