Will this mask keep me from getting the swine flu? Do I need an exhalation valve?
I am due to travel in a few days and, yes, airports serve as a bad place to be given the swine flu epidemic. I went to a medical supply store and bought some N95 surgical masks. Do I need a valve? What does it do? Thank you. Any info would help. I could look stupid at the airport, but if it will keep me from getting sick, it's worth it.
N95 particulate Respirator will work fine. The valve is just to let the moist, hot air out and it wont make a difference for your security, your particular comfort. You're still playing a game of chance with it, they do not have 100% filtration, but better than going with nothing, Just make sure you have it sealed right.
