dark tanning lotion used for faster tanning in the sun, its just based off the SPF. since the SPF is really low as 8 to means you have less protection against the sun, allowing more of the sun's UV rays to get to your skin so you can get tanner faster, so it works well (: but it is not very safe because of the low spf, you put even greater risk of skin cancer. gradual tanning lotions usually do not have spf in it, but some could. jergans natural glow is an example of a gradual tanner, these are sold in bottles that dont look like sunscreen bottles. there is only diffrence between protective tanning oil and dark tanning oil, it's just SPF. one gives you more protection against UV rays * Hawaiian Tropic just makes sunscreen

I've been using mama lotion on my face. I have Aveeno SPF 55 with UVA and UVB protection.
Hyperpigmentation is caused by an increase in melanin, the substance in the body responsible for the color (pigment). Certain conditions such as pregnancy or Addison disease (decreased function of the adrenal gland) can cause an increased production of melanin, and hyperpigmentation. Exposure to sunlight is a major cause of hyperpigmentaion, and will darken already hyperpigmented areas. If you have melasma, try to limit your exposure to sunlight. Use a strong sunscreen (SPF 15 or higher) at all times, because sunlight will worsen your condition. Sunblocks containing zinc oxide or titanium is best, though, will sunscreen with PARSOL 1789 (avobenzone) also provides good protection.

Aveeno continuous protection – it just got rated really highly in this month's Real Simple magazine and it is far less greasy than normal sunblocks, I love it. Use SPF 30 or higher. I think sunblock and sunscreen are used interchangeably in the marketing of products, but "block" sounds stronger – perhaps they reserve that term for the higher SPF's? Just an idea …

I mix Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch Sunblock SPF 70 with Biore Skinperservation Dual Fusion Moisturizer + SPF 30th I saw put this on my face. It is ok, but my skin gets kinda dry and shiny. My skin is not creamy at all! I want a moisturizer with high SPF and make not make my skin oily or dry. (BTW: I mix the Biore moisturizer with sunscreen, because I feel that Biore is not strong enough. And I have no acne.)
Do not mix the moisturizer with sunscreen. Always apply moisturizer first, then sunscreen. I use the Have A Nice Day Cream SPF 15 from Origins. It is very moisturizing, and then I put Aveeno Positively Ageless SPF 70 it over. Make sure you only use a pea size of moisturizer, and about half of that for the sunscreen. Do not rub sunscreen on, pat it on with your fingers. Both these products are oil free. By the way, SPF 30 is a pretty strong. For example, to burn after being out in the sun, say 30 minutes. This means that if you have an SPF 15, you can hold out in the sun 15 times longer before burning. Let me know if you have questions about some of this. Can I dilute / mix my waterproof sunblock with water or body lotion and not the effect of that?
I use Banana Boat Baby Magic Sunblock SPF 50th It is a brand new bottle and mostly I really like. But I find it a bit close / thick and hard to rub in (it seems forever). I would use this on my face and was wondering if I diluted with water or just regular facial / body lotion (like a dove facial lotion or Vaseline body lotion), it will alter the effectiveness the sunblock? My skin concerns are not burn / damage my skin and anti-aging. My face lotions, foundations, face powders all have SPF. I do not want to break through by Baby Magic sunblock on my face, because it is so heavy. I have combination skin, so I still break out, but have dry patches too. Also, what is the typical life sunblock? This bottle has an expiration date. Thanks for your help!

Any thing that has more than 7% zinc will prevent tanning, also wear long sleeves and a hat with out of the sun btn 9 and 4 Zinc is a natural suncreen and therefore does not just filter the sun's blocks it. Chemical sunscreens only filter the rays and therefore do not have the same amount of tanning protection, you will still eventually develop a color by means of chemical suncreens alone. 12% is the best, Neways sunbrero, banana boat has 6%, but still good, Ella Bache sunbloc foundation offers a high% of both zinc and titanium other physical sunbloc. I would say just put on a sunscreen that has an SPF in it. You caould also put an SPF underneath it just to be sure you do not burn.
