How do I mimic the MSN Live Messenger Form Style?
Hello, does anyone know jhow I can imitate the MSN Live Messenger Form Style. Specifically I would like to do applications without menubar but I want to be able to move them (like MSN, when you "Hide Menu Bar") I know I can use Form Border = No But if it does, so I am unable to move the ground, and I want to do it. I can add my own Minimize, Maximize and Close buttons, but I can not move my way through the screen, I do not care much about appearance and function, what I really want to do is HDE menu bar as the picture below and be able to move the window. http://www.geocities.com/corea_80/Sample.png
I think you would be done on windows platform. If yes go to dotnet (VB.NET) Add some code to the form that you want to move Take two global variables (class-level variables) Private mouseOffset As Point Private IsMouseDown As Boolean = False, type the following cases handles to form 1) Mouse Down Event Handle cases where the left button on the mouse is clicked. And set IsMouseDown value true Private Sub Form1_MouseDown (ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.Windows.Forms.MouseEventArgs) Handles Me.MouseDown xoffset Dim As Integer Dim yoffset As Integer If e.Button = Windows.Forms.MouseButtons.Left So xoffset =- EX – SystemInformation.FrameBorderSize.Width yoffset =- ey – SystemInformation.CaptionHeight – SystemInformation.FrameBorderSize.Height mouseOffset = New Point (xoffset, yoffset) IsMouseDown = True End If End Sub 2) Mouse Move Event If IsMouseDown variable value is true, then the new location for the form in Mouse Form1_MouseMove Private Sub (ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.Windows.Forms.MouseEventArgs) Handles Me.MouseMove If IsMouseDown Then Dim mousepos As Point = Control.MousePosition mousepos.Offset (mouseOffset.X, mouseOffset.Y) Location = mousepos End If End Sub 3) Mouse Up Event just reset IsMouseDown variable value to false if only the left mouse button is UP. Private Sub Form1_MouseUp (ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.Windows.Forms.MouseEventArgs) Handles Me.MouseUp If e.Button = Windows.Forms.MouseButtons.Left So IsMouseDown = False End If End Sub

Below - $12.99 Reflecting studio executives’ taste for material that crosses genres, this film from director David Twohy and co-screenwriter Darren Aronofsky mixes the war movie and supernatural thriller genres. After they rescue a trio of survivors that includes a nurse, Claire Page (Olivia Williams), from a British hospital ship sunk by the Nazis, the crew of the American submarine U.S.S. Tiger Shark comes to believe that their vessel is haunted. The unexpected death of their commander forces first officer Lt. Brice (Bruce Greenwood) to take command, trying to avoid a German destroyer on the hunt for his ship, while investigating the series of mysterious incidents that are terrifying his crew. Is the Tiger Shark haunted, or is there something otherworldly inhabiting the waters where the sailors are currently trapped? Originally entitled “Proteus,” this project was slated to be Aronofsky’s follow-up to Pi (1998), but the writer/director opted to helm Requiem for a Dream (2000) instead. Below co-stars Scott Foley, Zach Galifianakis, Dexter Fletcher, and Holt McCallany. ~ Karl Williams, All Movie Guide |

Excerpt from book: CHAPTER ITI. O, Jealousy- Love’s eclipse?thou art in thy disease A wild, mad patient, wondrous hard to please. Suckling. One evening she was later than usual in coming to him. The sun had set, and left a hue of lurid light in the horizon, and the clouds, of a deep grey hue, were reflected in the sullen waters. The glory in the sky, reflected on the waters, streamed in a red saffron light to the shore, gleaming brighter or darker as the waters rose and fell as they rippled to the beach. Edgar was uneasy at not seeing her; and when at last a dim light spot was discovered descending the cliff, he had worked himself into a state of nervous ill temper very distressing to himself and to his visitor. What kept you ? he cried. One or two things kept me; grannie was restless, and did not like me to leave her. I suppose you were too busily and too pleasantly engaged to care for me, the youth muttered. The girl for answer leaned her pretty head on his shoulder. Why don’t you answer ? he cried, giving her head a little jerk. What would you have me say ? she said in a plaintive voice. I would have you tell me truth, if you can, he added, scoffingly. You were not longer with your grandmother than usual? not so long by a minute and a half. How canst thou tell ? she said, with a scared look. Because I watched you. I saw you walking slowly from the mine, and looking back to see if you were followed?as you wished to be, no doubt. Pleasance was silent for a moment. Where didst thee bide ? It does not matter where I stood. Ha! I bided my time. I will have no moreto say to you, such a deceitful girl. I will go away in my boat and never come back again. Pleasance gave a low cry, as if she had been stricken, and slipped d… |

The song was also nominated for Record Of The Year.Additional guest personnel: Lil Jon; Mello.Simply put, there is no band that does anything close to what Outkast does. Big Boi & Andre 3000 have consistently managed to maintain mainstream success while obliterating the limits of what is considered to be hip-hop. Frolicking at the outskirts of language, they throw every genre into a blender and make every musical turn sound organic. SPEAKERBOXXX/THE LOVE BELOW is actually two solo records fused together, the former by Big Boi, the latter by Andre 3000, with each mind working at an equally frantic pace to create a gloriously split sonic experience.Big Boi opens with a techno intro that fades into industrial-style grinding on “Ghettomusick,” before settling into more traditional, although far from ordinary, rap tracks on “Unhappy” and “The Way You Move.” His most salient moment comes on “War,” an uncompromising condemnation of American politics that strikes the perfect balance of righteous rage and measured speech. When Dre takes the reins, the concoction gets wonderfully weirder with everything from the piano bar pop of “Love Hater” to the call and response of “She Lives in My Lap” to the mystery mix of the outstanding single “Hey Ya!” Following the remarkable STANKONIA, SPEAKERBOXXX/THE LOVE BELOW cements Outkast’s position as rap innovators and keeps them in the lead as the genre’s primary visionaries. |

THE Duke of Cumberland, born in 1721, was the second surviving son of George II. When six years old he was created Baron of Aldemey, Viscount Trematon in Cornwall, Earl of Ken- nington in Surrey, Marquis of Berkhamsted, and Duke of Cumberland. The history of his life may be said to be written in the records of war. When quite young he exhibited an interest in everything connected with the army, and soon became a soldier by profession, serving his first campaign when he was two and twenty.AT DETTINGEN. 125 He was said to have shown such courage at the battle of Dettingen, where he received a wound, that two years later he was made commander of the British forces in Flanders, a post for which he soon proved himself utterly incompetent. In 1745 he fought the famous battle of Fontenoy, commanding the allied forces, when, by his want of generalship, ho sacrificed the lives of ten thousand men, and suffered a memorable defeat. So prominent, indeed, was his want of ability that the enemy soon perceived it; and when an English soldier, who had been made prisoner by the French, told them they had barely missed making the Duke prisoner, a French officer answered, with a laugh, ‘ We took good care not to do so, for he does us much more service at the head of your army.’ At Laffelt he met with another defeat in the same year, when General Lagonier, by his skill and courage, prevented the total destruction of the English troops: from that day, however, the Duke never… |
